The Examiner Newspaper is looking for an energetic and highly skilled administration officer to support the editorial team’s senior leadership.

Based in Launceston and collaborating with editorial colleagues, you will play a key role in a dynamic media company with a proud history and an exciting vision for the future.

About the role

This 12 month maternity leave position will join the Examiner’s editorial team’s senior leadership to provide administrative and clerical support.

With a mix of executive assistant, office management and operational responsibilities, the role requires strong organisational skills, excellent time management and the ability to flex in a dynamic, deadline-driven work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain efficient and effective office management practices, such as rostering, that support the editorial management team.
• Liaise with editorial, HR and finance managers to ensure tasks are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with editorial colleagues in local newsrooms.

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Professional telephone manner.
• A results-driven attitude with an ability to work well in a team or autonomously as required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and sound computer skills
