A career at ACM is more than just a job. It’s a career that grows with your lifestyle.

About Us

With over 180 years of history, ACM’s network includes iconic mastheads like The Canberra Times, Newcastle Herald, and Bendigo Advertiser. We operate across digital platforms, newspapers, magazines and events. Our people are united by purpose and driven by impact, delivering trusted local journalism and storytelling that matters to the communities we serve.

About the Role

You’ll be working closely with the Local Sales team to increase our market share and revenue, turning lapsed or new local businesses into regular clients for The Courier. This is a hands-on role that offers both independence and collaboration, with space to grow your skills and career. You will prospect for new customers via networking and cold calling, developing persuasive pitches that convert prospects into active multi-platform advertisers.

What You’ll Bring

  • Sales Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of face-to-face sales experience with a proven track record managing accounts.
  • Commercial Drive: Demonstrated negotiation, presentation, and solution-based thinking abilities.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to analyse customer needs, build pipelines, and understand market/competitor trends.
  • Tech Literacy: Intermediate skills in Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs) and Excel; CRM or Salesforce experience is highly regarded.
  • Mobility: A current valid driver’s license and a well-maintained vehicle.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

Because at ACM, your career should grow with your lifestyle — not against it. We offer:
